Level 5 Professional Coaching Practice

The Level 5 Professional Coaching Practice qualification is awarded to outstanding individuals. Awarded by the Chartered Management Institute, it is recognised throughout the public and private sectors and across all management disciplines.

The aim is to support you in the development of professional coaching skills, helping you to understand and be able to apply core skills required for effective coaching practice. The coaching knowledge, skills and behaviours you will develop can immediately be implemented to lead and manage individuals and teams to deliver aims and objectives in line with organisational strategy.

Learners need to complete at least one unit below to a minimum of 6 credits. The minimum Total Unit Time is 60 hours, including 14 Guided Learning Hours. Learners cannot select Units 534, 536 or 537 as part of this qualification.

Learners need to complete any combination of units below to a minimum of 14 credits. The minimum Total Unit Time is 140 hours, including 32 Guided Learning Hours. Learners cannot select Unit 537 as part of this qualification.

Learners need to complete at least three units below totalling 37 credits to achieve this qualification. The minimum Total Unit Time is 370 hours, including 108 Guided Learning Hours.

Programme design
We work with you to design your CPD programme so that it is bespoke to you and your context, ensuring the mode of delivery meets your needs.

Programme delivery
For individuals, we provide a self-directed study delivery method for the content of our qualifications and work with you one-to-one to support your self-directed study journey. For organisations, in order to offer you the greatest flexibility to meet your specific requirements, we provide a face-to-face, distance learning, blended learning or train the trainer delivery model.

Programme duration
The length of study time will depend on the units chosen to study. As a rough guide:

Award: 1-3 months
Certificate: 3-6 months
Diploma: 6-12 months

Programme assessment
We have developed approved assignment briefs for each of the qualifications in our professional development framework, ensuring that you can meet the respective assessment criteria for each qualification.

The assignment briefs provide best practice guidelines, examine work-based scenarios, and encourage you to apply management, leadership, coaching and mentoring tools, models and theories, to real life workplace situations.

Once you complete and submit your assignment briefs we then provide a direct route to accreditation.

Whilst studying via our professional development framework you will receive FREE TFL Education tutor support, FREE access to CMI's online learning platform, Free access to CMI's Career Development Centre, and FREE affiliate membership of the Chartered Management Institute.

TFL Education tutor support
Once you make the commitment to work with us you will receive unlimited tutor support from TFL Education. Support can be provided via telephone, email and/or Zoom. You choose what works best for you.
