Level 5 Managing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

The Level 5 Managing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion qualification is awarded to outstanding individuals. Awarded by the Chartered Management Institute, it is recognised throughout the public and private sectors and across all management disciplines.

The aim is to support you in establishing equality, diversity and inclusion as important drivers of organisational performance, benefitting staff and stakeholders. The unit will enable you to understand the business case for equality, diversity and inclusion and the role of managers in creating inclusive cultures. It focuses on the skills required for inclusive leadership and how to adapt leadership styles to support others in seeing the benefits of inclusion. You will be able to analyse the requirements of managing, planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting on equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Learners must complete the one unit below to a minimum of 5 credits. The minimum Total Unit Time is 50 hours, including 19 Guided Learning Hours.

Programme design

Programme delivery
For individuals, we provide a self-directed study delivery method for the content of our qualifications and work with you one-to-one to support your self-directed study journey. For organisations, in order to offer you the greatest flexibility to meet your specific requirements, we provide a face-to-face, distance learning, blended learning or train the trainer delivery model.

The length of study time will depend on the units chosen to study. As a rough guide:

Programme assessment
We have developed approved assignment briefs for each of the qualifications in our professional development framework, ensuring that you can meet the respective assessment criteria for each qualification.

The assignment briefs provide best practice guidelines, examine work-based scenarios, and encourage you to apply management, leadership, coaching and mentoring tools, models and theories, to real life workplace situations.

Once you complete and submit your assignment briefs we then provide a direct route to accreditation.
